The San Jose A's, Why It Won't Happen
The San Jose A's, Why It Won't Happen
February 26, 2009
The chance that the Oakland A's will end up in San Jose is almost zero. The reason: the San Francisco Giants own the territorial rights to the South Bay, which means all other major league baseball teams are prohibited from moving there. There's been some suggestion that the A's could work out a deal with the Giants, just as the Baltimore Orioles did with the Washington Nationals, but that's highly unlikely for some very specific reasons.

Premier League football news from the Barclays Premier League | West Ham United 0-1 Manchester United
West Ham United 0-1 Manchester United
A second-half winner from Ryan Giggs sent Manchester United back to the top of the Barclays Premier League.
The 35-year-old captain struck the decisive blow in the 61st minute to put United two points clear of Liverpool at the summit with a match in hand on their rivals.
It was West Ham United's first league defeat in seven matches but they did little to trouble Edwin Van der Sar, who set two more goalkeeping records. The United goalkeeper has now gone 1,312 minutes since he was last beaten in the top flight with United keeping 13 successive clean sheets.

Erick Purkhiser - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Erick Lee Purkhiser (October 21, 1948 – February 4, 2009), better known as Lux Interior (Luxury Interior), was an American punk rock musician and a founding member of the legendary garage/punk band The Cramps.
Born in Stow, Ohio, he grew up in the Akron area with a brother, Mike Purkhiser.[1] He met his wife Kristy Wallace, better known as Poison Ivy, in Sacramento in 1972 allegedly while she was hitchhiking. [2] The couple founded the band and moved from California to Ohio in 1973 and then to New York in 1975 where they became part of the flourishing punk scene.[3].
Interior's name came "from an old car commercial" while his wife's name change was inspired by "a vision she received in a dream".[2] The couple called their musical style psychobilly which was inspired by a Johnny Cash song though they later said they were just using the term as "carny terms to drum up business"
Purkhiser died at 4:30am on February 4, 2009, in Glendale, California of a pre-existing heart condition
